FAQ
- Is Online Counseling Right for You?
We’d be happy to clarify this with you in an initial consultation. We are happy to address any concerns or reservations you may have about online counseling. However, in acute health crises, we recommend seeing a specialist who may also offer medication support.
- What is the advantage of online counseling over traditional counseling?
You get quick help without long waiting times. You can attend the counseling from the comfort of your home, which means you can also receive it if you're not mobile, sick, or unable to arrange childcare. You can also attend while traveling on business or vacation.
No medical referral is necessary. Since counseling and therapy are not billed through health insurance, you remain anonymous to your employer. There are no disadvantages when applying for insurance benefits. There is no diagnosis or other data storage.
- What is the difference between counseling, therapy, and coaching?
In counseling, we ask targeted questions, suggest solutions, and reflect on their suitability for you together.
In therapy, it is also possible to address past conflict situations. The conversations often lead to initial relief and foster a positive start to a more freely shaped developmental process. Combining expertise and methods proves to be a productive approach. Please note that therapy, despite the term, is not a medical treatment or psychotherapy in the traditional sense.
Coaching is a supportive process where you are empowered through impulses to develop your own path to a solution.
- How does the first contact work?
You can reach us by phone or email. We will then send you a questionnaire. Once we receive it, we will schedule an initial consultation. If you prefer a video call, that is also possible.
- Can the camera stay off?
Of course, you can turn off the camera. If it is more comfortable for you, we can also speak by phone. However, since facial expressions and gestures are important components of communication, a portion of information will be lost.
- What technical requirements are needed?
For our appointments, you will need a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a suitable microphone or headset.
- How is payment made?
Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal and should be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Note: If you choose PayPal, a transaction fee of 3 EUR will be charged.
- I cannot attend an appointment.
Please cancel appointments by phone or email. If we are not personally available, please leave a message on the voicemail. Appointments can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Please understand that if you cancel later than 24 hours, the full fee will be charged, as appointments are only available once.
